HMS Jervis was a British J-class destroyer, and flotilla leader for her class; she received thirteen battle honors for her service in WW2 (a record only equalled by two ships, and exceeded by one - the legendary Warspite).
Jervis had a reputaion as a lucky ship: serving throughout the entire Second World War, and in thirteen major actions, she never lost a crew member to enemy action - possibly a unique record. Remarkably, this even includes having her bow blown off by a Henschel Hs 293 glide bomb in January 1944, while supporting the landings at Anzio!
