Aoshima's 1/72-scale model kit of the Type 3 Battle Hien Type I Ding Ki-61-I comes with a pilot figure! This is the first version of this aircraft, where the Mauser cannon mounted on the Hien first model Hei was replaced with a domestically produced Ho 5 20mm cannon. The cockpit interior is fully reproduced, and a suspension stand to display the aircraft in flight is included, as is a figure of a maintenance worker. Decals to reproduce the markings of the 244th flight squadron are included too.
