SPIRIT OF THE PHOENIX
Introduced in 1988, the Steed is powered by a liquid-cooled, narrow-angle V-twin engine that delivers strong, pulse-like power—especially in the low to mid RPM range—mounted in a low-and-long frame. Its double-cradle frame is paired with a new rear swingarm inspired by a rigid rear axle system, offering a powerful, rhythmic feel along with a relaxed and comfortable riding experience typical of American-style sport bikes. In 1996, the Steed VSE was added, featuring aluminum dish wheels, an upswept rear fender, a dedicated seat, side covers, and a new wide handlebar design that enhanced its wild appearance.
