A Car That Marked the Arrival of a New Era for Adults
The X90 series, which includes the fifth-generation Chaser and fourth-generation Cresta, made its debut in October 1992 as a full model change from the previous X80 series. All models adopted a 3-number (larger size) body classification in Japan, featuring a more flowing and wide stance with smoothly curved surfaces, evolving into a more stylish design. From this generation onward, a newly designed platform was introduced, allowing the body to grow in size while achieving a weight reduction of nearly 100 kg compared to its predecessor.
