The outfitting parts have been newly researched and redesigned, and the molds now incorporate numerous slide mechanisms to accurately reproduce the intricate detail of 1/700 scale. Experience the reborn and more finely detailed 1/700 Warship Full Hull Model Series.
Chōkai, the fourth ship of the Takao-class heavy cruisers, took part in early southern operations at the outbreak of the Pacific War as well as the First Battle of the Solomon Sea. In 1944, during the Battle of Leyte Gulf, she was heavily damaged by U.S. carrier-based aircraft and ultimately scuttled.
This kit recreates the 1942 configuration of Chōkai as a 1/700 scale plastic model kit. Featuring a carefully designed parts layout, the model is simple and easy to assemble while still achieving an accurate representation. Various outfitting parts, including anti-aircraft guns and machine guns, have been newly designed and added.
