Aoshima’s Full Hull Series Receives a Long-Awaited Renewal!
This time, the Imperial Japanese Navy gunboat Seta returns to the lineup!

The Seta-class gunboats were river gunboats built by the Imperial Japanese Navy to patrol inland waterways in China. Four vessels (Seta, Hira, Hozu, and Katata) entered service during the 1920s and primarily operated along the Yangtze River. With their shallow draft and compact hulls, these vessels were well suited for river navigation and carried out a variety of support and patrol missions.

By the final years of World War II, the ships had become increasingly obsolete. Some continued operations in Chinese waters before eventually being lost or taken over by local forces. This kit allows builders to choose and assemble any two vessels from the Seta class. Designed for ease of assembly, it faithfully captures the distinctive appearance of these river gunboats.
