C-WEST FD3S RX‑7 The FD3S, the third‑generation RX‑7, continued to evolve from its debut in October 1991, ultimately reaching a level of refinement worthy of its status as the world’s only rotary‑powered sports car. Loved for 11 years, the FD3S continued to run strong, but due to the 2000 emissions regulations, production was officially set to end in August 2002. Before its discontinuation, the final special edition model, the RX‑7 Spirit R, was released in April 2002.
