The 1/350 Sailing Ship Series brings famous sailing ships from around the world to life in an affordable price range and a compact, easy-to-collect scale.
No.1 in the series is the Nippon Maru, Japan’s world-famous sailing ship. Built at Kawasaki Dockyard in Kobe in 1929 and completed in 1930, the Nippon Maru proudly represented Japan as a maritime nation during the New York Hudson River Tall Ships Parade held in July 1976 to commemorate the 200th anniversary of American independence. As auxiliary power, the ship was equipped with two 600-horsepower diesel engines.
